'Mighty No. 9' Release Date, News & Update: Keiji Inafune Reveals Sequel Plan, Box Art Leaks In The UAE

In spite of not being released yet, Keiji Inafune, video game producer and illustrator at Capcom, revealed that there's a big possibility that "Mighty No. 9" will have a sequel.

Keiji Inafune Plans For 'Mighty No. 9'

In Keiji Inafune's interview with 4Gamer, translated by Siliconera, he opened up the possibility of "Mighty No. 9 sequel.

"Development for a sequel is already in our minds, and we all share the feeling of we'll do it even if it doesn't sell," Keiji Inafune said.

He also talked about their plans for the not yet released game, "Mighty No. 9," as per Game Spot. "One more thing I'd like to say is that 'Mighty No. 9' is a [set of] 'contents," Keiji Inafune explained.

"Meaning it's not just a game. We're also moving forward in an anime and live-action film for it," he added.

The 'Mighty No. 9' Multiple Delays

The game aficionados are still waiting for the release of "Mighty No. 9," which is often moved because of the multiple delays, Game Rant reported.

Keiji Inafune cleared that their company is not understaffed that's why "Mighty No. 9" is always delayed. But, he described that they have been busy thinking of ways that they can effectively sell the action-platform video game.

However, Keiji Inafune confirmed that "Mighty No. 9" will officially be released on June 21.

'Mighty No. 9' Leaked

Meanwhile, the appearance of "Mighty No. 9" box art and CD has been leaked in the United Arab Emirates as revealed by Twitter user Mido, Mobi Picker cited.

If the said release date will pursue, “Mighty No. 9” is set to be out on June 21 for PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. Also, the game has a version for Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Wii U.

“Mighty No. 9” is also set to be playable for Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita in the near future.
