'Star Wars' Han Solo Has His Own Marvel Comic Book; Check It Out Here

A new Marvel comic book features everyone's favorite outlaw in the Star Wars series. Titled "Han Solo," the new comic book is getting a lot of positive feedback because of its tone and interesting storyline.

Artist Mark Brooks and colorist Sonia Oback collaborated to come up with the new Marvel comic book dedicated to Han Solo. Brooks' sketches were described as impressive and meticulous, particularly bringing the characters to life. Oback provided attractive lighting, shading and colors that make each panel fun as people read through.

Marjorie Liu served asa  writer and was tasked to ensure that Han Solo was still very much like himself in the comics as he was portrayed by Harrison Ford in the movie franchise. The writer took on a lighter story compared to her previous work in the comic "Monstress." She successfully presented Han's voice as well as the tone that Star Wars is known for. Liu particularly did a great job in establishing the tension and intrigue between Han and Leia Organa. Chewbacca was also properly shown without exaggerating.

Vox cited that the story is set between the original Star Wars film and "Episode 2 - The Empire Strikes Back." In the plot, Han Solo has resorted back to smuggling with his trusty partner, Chewbacca. The two have been taking on meager tasks for some time until the Dragon Void Run, a space race, was presented. Issue No. 1 is mainly set up the foundation for the following episodes. Liu is expected to showcase more interesting takes while keeping true to the franchise's roots as the comics continue.

Io9 stated that "Han Solo" features a deep view of the infamous pilot of the Millenium Falcon. The comic book started with Han being more cautious and having to reject high-paying jobs by following his instincts. Two mysterious characters held him at gunpoint, saying that they needed his ship. It was revealed that they were somehow like Han, rogues who aid the cause of the Rebel Alliance.

One of the highlights of the book is when Han met Leia, the royal Rebel leader. She tasked him to go on a secret mission to determine the cause of deaths of Rebel spy agents by joining The Dragon's Void. The story slowly unravels how Han changed from being a carrier of contraband into a man on a greater quest.

Han Solo No. 1 is currently available in shops and online. More updates and details are expected soon.
