Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 To Feature HALO Jumps And Drone Surveillance?

Is Modern Warfare 4 already on the way? Well a leak from an unidentified employee of Neversoft may have just revealed the newest edition in the Call of Duty series.

According to the unverified and unknown source at Neversoft, who posted the details on the Se7enSins website, the new game will feature high altitude-low opening (HALO) jumps and military drone surveillance.

"It's another MW game. There's something called, 'Drone Surveillance'. They're working on 'HALO' jumps (High Altitude; Low X.) There is a level under ice. There is cloaking tech. something called a 'Dominator UAV.'"

This leak is of course unverified and is only a rumor. Activision is currently preparing to start the media blitz for the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops II, which is set to release on Nov. 13, for Wii U, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows. Black Ops II is developed by Treyarch and is a sequel to the 2010 game Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Traditionally, the Modern Warfare series has been developed by game studio Infinity Ward, but Modern Warfare 3 was developed by both Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games, with Raven Software having assisted in development. The collaborative effort was a result of the legal dispute between Infinity Ward co-founders Jason West and Vince Zampella and Activision.

The dispute resulted in the co-founders being fired from the company and several dozen of Infinity Ward's employees followed West and Zampella and quit the company.

If these rumors are true, Modern Warfare 4 will be the first in the series not developed by Infinity Ward and could be a departure from the series' contemporary settings. Infinity Wards' webpage is currently under redesign and has a message stating that the game studio is currently looking for new talent.

Let us know what you think of the supposed leak in the comment section below.
