Blue-eyed "Captain America: Civil War" charmer Chris Evans has broken millions of hearts all over the world as he made his relationship with comedian Jenny Slate public. The two attended the premiere of "The Secret Life of Pets," to which Slate lent her voice to bring life to Gidget, a white Pomeranian. Evans took to Twitter to sing his new girlfriend praises for her work on the film.

According to E! Online, the pair met on the set of the drama film, "Gifted," which also stars the two as the lead roles, back in October 2015. Evans and Slate then began dating in May.
"I didn't know what to expect when I met Chris. I was a little scared because I kind of felt like, Well, I don't know him," 34-year old Slate told Anna Faris during her podcast. "He's a giant man with huge muscles and he's Captain America. How could we ever connect?...[But] the first night that we hung out, I was like, 'Wow, I could hang out with Chris for, like, 90 hours.'"
Slate is best known as a cast member of "Saturday Night Live" and for her roles in "Parks and Recreation" (Mona-Lisa Saperstein), "House of Lies" (as Sarah Guggenheim), "Kroll Show," "Bob's Burgers" (as Tammy Larsen), and "Married" (Jess). She also had appearances in "Girls" and "Brooklyn Nine-Nine." This is the first major red carpet for the 34-year old actress, and she was happy to have her new boyfriend with her.
"I haven't really had a large premiere before, so it's nice to have someone who knows how it goes," Slate told Entertainment Tonight. "We didn't know each other growing up, but we grew up about half an hour away from each other (in Massachusetts)...It's kind of like I got my dream 7th grade boyfriend."
Slate's relationship with Evans comes after she separated from her husband of four years, filmmaker Dean Fleischer-Camp. Back in May, it was rumored that Evans and his "Captain America: Civil War" co-star Elizabeth Olsen were dating. The two put the rumors to rest when they joked about it during a stint on "Ellen."
"Gifted" is set to be released this year.
