'Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare' Trailer Was The Most Disliked On YouTube; Activision Boss Finally Speaks Up

Earlier in 2016, the "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" became the most disliked trailer on YouTube. However, Activision remains unfazed and will continue its plan for the first-person shooter.

Among other things, fans were upset about how "Call of Duty" Infinite Warfare wanted to focus on a futuristic setting, instead of taking on a more traditional tone, which is quite popular among gamers at present. However, Activision seemed to have anticipated the initial reaction from fans.

During an interview with Mashable at E3 2016, Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg said that the game publisher will continue doing things in the same way that they did before.

They only want to focus on creating a great game. Activision allegedly expected fans to be upset about the futuristic focus of "Call of Duty" Infinite Warfare.

However, when Activision focuses on making great games, they ultimately make fans happy and win people. The franchise still flourishes in the end.

GameSpot noted that according to Hirshberg, "Black Ops II" was the first time that they introduced a futuristic setting for the franchise.

The game turned out to be one of their most successful releases ever. He continued that they have not seen the same negative reaction on other platforms and metrics.

The upcoming game was said to be unique in the sense that they did not see poor feedbacks in their preorder momentum or on other platforms where they posted the same Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare video, like Facebook.

Previously, Hirshberg told GameSpot that first, they have to appreciate the passion that gamers have for the franchise and industry as a whole. They love how their fans treat the franchise as their own and share very strong views about its development.

He described the negative comments as a "good thing" because it shows how much passion their entertainment franchise ignites among Call of Duty Infinite Warfare gamers.

VG247 stated that although players were not too keen on battling in orbit in the upcoming title, new information suggests that there will be more features and experience to look forward to in "Call of Duty" Infinite Warfare.

For example, the Jackal flight provides players with full control over the direction of the ship. Vehicle missions are expected to be more exciting and bring players to new paths in completely different way.

"Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" is set to launch on Nov. 4, 2016 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. More updates and details are expected soon.
