As a matter of fact, Showbiz Maven has reported Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe were seen very sweet on the set of "Outlander" Season 2. Unidentified insiders have even claimed the two really looked like a couple.
However, other sources have claimed both Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe do want to remain friends so their work will not be affected. Up until now, the "Outlander" stars have remained tight-lipped about the real status of their relationship.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Caitriona Balfe has revealed she will be doing a movie called "Money Monster." Directed by Jodie Foster, the leading lady of Sam Heughan in "Outlander" will be starring alongside Julia Roberts.
In fact, Caitriona Balfe has revealed Julia Roberts got interested on "Outlander" and they have discussed about it. "I haven't asked her whether or not she took on the series after that," Sam Heughan's leading lady revealed to THR. "But she was very curious about it so hopefully she did."
With these reports, fans cannot help but speculate Caitriona Balfe will be leaving Sam Heughan in "Outlander" Season 3. Other news even claimed the actress will be taking a short break to rest from her hectic schedule. However, Caitriona Balfe has not commented on these reports as of yet.
Meanwhile, Caitriona Balfe has also mentioned she is happy working together with Sam Heughan and the show in general. "Outlander has opened so many doors for me and that has been incredible."
