'Limitless' Season 2 Air Date, News & Update: Fans' Demands May Lead To A Sequel?

Earlier this year CBS released a statement that all of its first-year shows will be given second-season offer. Obviously it didn't work out that way, but with "Supergirl" being renewed at CBS sister company, The CW, many "Limitless" fans were hoping that the show will have that same chance as well.

Will "Limitless" season 2 be transferred to The CW like what CBS did to "Supergirl" or will "Limitless" Season 2 be shopped around for other options?

Or worse comes to worst, "Limitless" has already reached the end of the road and there will be no "Limitless" Season 2 anymore.

Will CBS have a change of heart and see the potential in 'Limitless' Season 2

Despite the the news that "Limitless has already reached its limit at one season, "Limitless" fans were given hope following reports that "Limitless" Season 2 was being shopped to other outlets to continue the TV show.

With the show being based on the feature film of the same name, meaning "Limitless" already has a stable fanbase, many "Limitless" fans were hoping that "Limitless" Season 2 will still be possible even if it was already dropped by CBS.

Two of the major outlets that were chosen to hopefully pick up "Limitless" were Netflix and Amazon.

Unfortunately, Netflix and Amazon didn't see enough potential from "Limitless" for it to be proceeded to season 2.

No Season 2 for 'Limitless'

Even before the rumors that "Limitless" was being shopped around for a new home, it was already obvious that there will be no "Limitless" Season 2.

Cinema Blend reports that when CBS revealed its fall schedule, "Limitless" was nowhere to be found.

It seems that the CBS fall schedule already gave "Limitless" fans the heads up to not expect a season 2 from the show.

"Limitless" showrunner Craig Sweeny also confirmed that there will be no "Limitless" Season 2.

The "Limitless" showrunner took to Twitter to on May 26 to share the sad news to all the "Limitless" fans.

"I'm truly sad to report that #Limitless will not continue on any platform. Thanks so much to everyone who watched," "Limitless" showrunner Craig Sweeny shared.
