'The Banner Saga 2' Release Date, News & Update: Sequel Game To Come Earlier Than Expected
"The Banner Saga 2" will come earlier than expected as Shiny Shoe, its porting team, revealed "The Banner Saga" sequel will be released on July 5.
Originally, "The Banner Saga 2" is anticipated to be officially out on July 26. But, as per Stoic Studio website, because of the hard work of Sony and Shiny Shoe, they managed to unveil the new game ahead of its first revealed date
A New 'The Banner Saga 2' Player
However, some game aficionado worries if they can still handle playing "The Banner Saga 2" even if they haven't played its successor, Engadget reported.
According to Sony, interested gamers can still play the new game as it contains a recap clip for the players to be familiarized
"There's no downside if you're jumping into this from scratch. ... we've included a recap video that gives you a quick low down of events that happened before Banner Saga 2," "The Banner Saga 1" Director John Watson said.
He also discussed that Sony included two new default characters for the players to choose from, even if they didn't manage to import their save game from "The Banner Saga 1."
'The Banner Saga 2' For Game Consoles
Studio Stoic explained that the upcoming "The Banner Saga 2" will be included in the Games With Gold list on Xbox One upon its release, PlayStation LifeStyle cited.
For PlayStation 4 users, on the other hand, PlayStation Plus members have the privilege to have a 10 percent off the price when "The Banner Saga 2" debuted. Also, they can enjoy a 30 percent off for "The Banner Saga 1" and "The Banner Saga 2" bundle.
"We are incredibly happy to be able to release Banner Saga 2 on a console so that fans of the series can finally jump into the second installment of this epic saga," John Watson described.
Moreover, "The Banner Saga 2" will also be available for PlayStation Vita soon as Sony is now busy developing a new version playable for the portable device.
