Glenn Kessler, "Bloodline" co-creator, revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that Danny would still be seen in "Bloodline" season 3. Danny's influence on the whole family as quite palpable and Danny's decision to return home was what created the tension to begin with.
It is ironic that his brother John was the one who killed Danny. Understandably, John will be tormented by his crime because among the siblings, he was the one closest to Danny. In the coming "Bloodline" season 3, fans can therefore expect Danny, whether as flashbacks in John's mind or even as an apparition.

However, co-creator Todd A. Kessler confirms that they are still waiting for official word from Netfilx. As of latest interview last June 1, 2016, Kessler still do not have an update on the issue.
