"Penny Dreadful" has come to an end after its third season and fans can't help but hope for a spin-off. Fans started an online petition so they can continue to watch the much-loved monster drama series.
Will There Be A 'Penny Dreadful' Spin-Off?
The Hollywood Reported confirmed with Showtime president David Nevins and "Penny Dreadful" creator John Logan that the series really ended after its third season. The two-hour episode on June 19 capped off the entire show.
"Penny Dreadful" ended with the astonishing death of Vanessa Ives, which Eva Green portrays. Series producer John Logan admitted that "Penny Dreadful" was originally planned to last three seasons only.
However, David Nevins admitted that a spin-off may be possible. Meanwhile, Logan was adamant that "Penny Dreadful" should come to an end.
Nevins then mentioned the upcoming projects Logan is involved with such as "Just Kids." Showtime has plans lined up for Logan and his career will not end with "Penny Dreadful."

Showdown Of Creatures in 'Penny Dreadful' Spinoff
Fans were devastated with the death of Vanessa Ives and the eventual end of the series. Many fans feel that "Penny Dreadful" had an unjust ending.
TVOvermind expressed how disappointing it was to learn that the entire "Penny Dreadful" was tied to Vanessa Ive's existence. However, seeing that Logan admitted that Eva Green's is the show's muse, it's hard to picture "Penny Dreadful" without her.
Fans are now trying to see if they can convince showrunners to make a spin-off since they admitted themselves that it's a possibility. A spin-off is a great way to explore other characters from "Penny Dreadful."
For one, there's the Catriona and Dracula storyline. Fans would love to see this story unfold through a limited last season run.
