New 'Final Fantasy' Game Released On Mobile; 'Brave Exvius' Available Now On iOS And Android

The "Final Fantasy" game-making machine continues to churn out more and more entries in the franchise, this time in the form of a new mobile game called "Final Fantasy Brave Exvius."

This time, it's a fully-featured RPG, complete with classic FF-style turn-based combat, towns to explore and NPCs to meet, and dungeons to raid and loot, all in service of a real storyline.

"Brave Exvius" tells the story of a world of crystals - a rather worn Final Fantasy trope as of late - which contain the memories, or "visions," of heroes and villains from different worlds.

You follow the story of two knights of Grandshelt - Rain, a talented warrior who commands a fleet of airships, and Lasswell, an orphan, who is Rain's closest friend and co-commander of the fleet - and a mysterious girl, Fina, who appeared from within a crystal and has lost all of her memories except her name.

Together, you embark on a quest to defeat a shadowy figure, Veritas of the Dark, who has attacked Grandshelt Castle and aims to destroy the crystals of the world.

The gameplay of "Brave Exvius" consists of JRPG-style turn-based combat. You can summon "visions, which consist of many famous summons from the "Final Fantasy" franchise, and unleash their powers on your enemies, complete with CG animations that play during the fight.

You'll also explore fields and dungeons to uncover hidden shortcuts to wherever you're going, find loot, and conquer powerful enemies. Explore towns and meet NPCs to get quests and learn more about the story, and even encounter some "Final Fantasy" favorites. Finish quests for gil, loot, and rare equipment.

As "Brave Exvius" is free-to-play, it comes with all of the elements that characterize that gameplay model, including a stamina meter that, once depleted, will prevent further progress.

It'll regenerate slowly, so you'll either have to wait to play again, or pay up to continue. You can also purchase cosmetic equipment, loot boxes, and other items. You'll also get to purchase an "Early Bird Bundle" that will help you advance your characters faster right off the bat.

"Brave Exvius" is available now on the iOS App store and on Google Play.
