Kindle Fire's New Leaked Images is 'Paperwhite'

It has been widely anticipated that Amazon's Kindle Fire will be released next week, but you can have an early look at what the new Kindle Fire may look like.

The Verge acquired pictures of the new Kindle Fire. There seems to be no change in its shape and remains the same as earlier but the button that was below the screen has now disappeared, with a darker bezel.

This might be the online retailer giants new E Ink Kindle, which will have touchscreen features. Amazon refers the new Kindle as "Kindle Paperwhite," which is possibly the new display which seems to be better than the Pearl E Ink display that was seen in previous Kindles.

Another feature noticed is the backlit display. According to the images, the company promises a "higher contrast, high resolution, integrated lighting, and eight weeks of battery life" for the new Kindle. The backlight feature will rival Barnes & Noble's Nook SimpleTouch with GlowLight.

The Verge thinks that the device "has a prominent notch" on the edges which it thinks may a front mic for video calling. A camera is also seen in several pictures. These features become important in a budget tablet like Kindle Fire. Nexus 7 will be having good competition from Amazon this holiday season.

The Verge said it does not know if there are multiple models of different screen sizes. Amazon is holding a press conference on Sept. 6.
