Resident Evil 7: Biohazard' News & Updates: New Demo 'Beginning Hour' Becomes 'Most Downloaded Single-Player PS4' Demo [VIDEO]
The teaser for the upcoming "Resident Evil 7" has just recorded more than two million downloads for PlayStation 4 worldwide, making it the most downloaded single-player demo seven days after its release.
The record set by "Resident Evil 7 Teaser: Beginning Hour" comes a week after its official release in North America. Game Spot said that the feat it is particularly special since the game is only available for subscribers of PlayStation Plus.
The "Beginning Hour" was introduced during Sony's E3 Conference as a playable content for PlayStation 4 users. At the time, the demo game was also unveiled as a game that is completely compatible with the PlayStation VR headset. Check out the game's first trailer featured during the event titled "Desolation."
The demo is a prologue to the upcoming "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" game due for release on January 24, 2016. It features different protagonist than that of the actual game which is quite something to consider especially since many seem to have loved the demo.
A previous report from Game Spot clarified that gamers who are looking forward to the actual game because of the "Beginning Hour" should rethink since the "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" game may be far from what they expect.
Meanwhile, the storyline of the "Resident Evil 7" is expected to pick up from where its predecessor left off. It will be featuring a modern setting and focuses on a "foreboding, derelict plantation mansion in rural America. Players must explore and survive the horrors within the mysterious, sprawling estate," per a game description featured in PlayStation Lifestyle.
The "Resident Evil 7 Demo: Beginning Hour" is still available for download at the PlayStation Store. It can also be downloaded via Capcom's official website http://www.capcom.co.jp/residentevil7/us/index.html where more videos and other features about the game are also available for fans.
