'Iron Man 3' Movie News: Radioactive Man and Ant-Man in the Cards?

The character of Aldich Killian played by Guy Pearce in "Iron Man 3" will only be a cameo appearance, according to Screen Rant.

So, that must mean there will be other characters appearing in the "Iron Man 3" movie. Screen Rant reported a few rumors about two more potential super-powered characters in the movie.

Andy Lau, who will not be part of the movie, was expected to play one of those roles. Screen Rant said, Lau was supposed to play the role of Chen Lu or the Radioactive Man. His character was supposed to be of a "good guy." Rumors suggested that this character will reoccur in other upcoming movies too. Now it has been confirmed that Chinese actor Xueqi Wang will be playing the character of Chen Lu.

In Marvel Comics, the character of Chen Lu, who is a nuclear physicist working for China, is exposed to radiation, hence the green color. He has the power to control radiation. He is an enemy of Iron Man.

There is a relationship between the Radioactive Man and Ant-Man in the comics, and there have been rumors of Edgar Wright taking on the role of Ant-Man.

Marvel Studios seems to be planning big, perhaps an "Avengers-like" movie. They have been picking up different characters which might be laying the groundwork for future movies to come, which is a welcomed sign to superhero movie fans.

"Iron Man 3" is being directed by Shane Black and will star Robert Downey Jr., Ben Kingsley, Don Cheadle, Gwyneth Paltrow, Guy Pearce, Jon Favreau, Rebecca Hall, Cobie Smulders, William Sadler, and James Badge Dale.

The screenplay is written by Drew Pearce and the will be released to theatres on May 3, 2013.
