Hitman: Absolution's New Villain - Blake Dexter (Watch the Footage Here!)

IO Interactive released a video today giving us a peek at the newest villain going up against 47 in Hitman: Absolution. A prominent figure in the town of Hope, South Dakota, Blake Dexter is likely the reason why the barcode clad assassin finds himself in the mid-west. And for fans who've been paying attention to the Hope News Times, you might recognize the name as the man behind Dexter Industries, advertised in so many of the issues. He also has a bit of a checkered past when it comes to his love life. Check out the video below!

Keith Carradine will take on the role of the villainous Blake Dexter, whom IO calls calculating, ruthless, and maybe the most vicious adversary Agent 47 has faced yet. Dexter comes to life through Carradine's outstanding performance capture and voice acting skills. Carradine joins other voice actors like Vivica Fox, Shannyn Sossamon, Powers Boothe, and 47's longtime voice actor David Bateson, whose addition to the cast was recently announced.

It's believed that Dexter is the man behind the kidnapping of Victoria, the girl 47's handler asked him to rescue before she died.

The game features new game play mechanics like "instinct mode" which will allow 47 to predict enemy patrol routes, much like the 'sonar vision' that was featured in Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction and "detective mode" in Batman: Arkham Asylum. There's also a new online mode called "Contracts," which allows gamers to create and share their own custom hit challenges within the game. Choose a level, targets, weapons and then set the rules for completing your contract as you play to create. Absolution will ship with many pre-set contracts, each designed by the very best assassins at IO Interactive.

Hitman: Absolution is scheduled for release in the U.S. and Europe on November 20, 2012, for the PS3, Xbox 360, and Windows PC.
