'Avengers: Infinity War' Latest News, Release Date & Update: Josh Brolin A.K.A. Thanos Knows Secrets of the Upcoming Film

There's a long wait before the third and fourth installment of Marvel's "Avengers" hit cinemas with "Avengers: Infinity War," a film so long, it was divided into two. Much excitement has been built up to the upcoming films, with the seeds of its story already planted in previous Marvel flicks like the first two "Avengers" films and the 2014 hit, "Guardians of the Galaxy."

The man big bad guy, Thanos, who literally just sat out his early appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), is expected to probably get on his feet and come into his own come "Avengers: Infinity War," as he will most likely no longer use his minions to battle it out with Earth's mighty defenders. Whether or not he will get his hands on the elusive Infinity Stones and Infinity Gauntlet, it will require some effort on his part. This means no more sitting around and smirking about the future of the world (or galaxy).

Josh Brolin ("Milk," "W.," "Inherent Vice," "Sicario") plays Thanos in the MCU, and he recently spoke with Digital Spy to talk about the upcoming "Avengers: Infinity War" films, or rather, make fans jealous because he already knows what's the story behind the highly anticipated movies. While the actor was tight-lipped about any specific details about the movies, he did admit two things: one is that there is no script at the moment, and two, he has already heard the storyline for the films.

"I do know the story inside and out and it's an amazing story. I literally can't say one word about it, but it's an incredible story," Brolin said. "I sat at a table and listened to the story and was completely and utterly blown away. I was told it by all the people involved. It was a large table, I'll put it that way!"

That large table was mostly composed of directors Anthony and Joe Russo, screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, and producer Kevin Feige. Production for both films is slated to begin this November, and Feige clarified that while the temporary title is laced with "Part 1" and "Part 2," the films will actually be two different films with common elements present in both. Now whether or not all of the Marvel superheroes from movies past will be present in the big party that is "Avengers: Infinity War" remains to be seen.

"Avengers: Infinity War" Part 1 will debut in theaters on May 4, 2018, while Part 2 will premiere on May 3, 2019.
