iOS 10 Beta Latest News & Updates: Buggy Password Reset Locking Out iPhone Owners

Following its release last week, iOS 10 beta gave Apple users a glimpse of things to come this Fall. iOS 10 is the next big update set for the iPhone and the iPad owners though lots of bugs are expected to come with the beta versions.

While there was an alleged iOS 10 jailbreak from Pangu claimed, the problem in focus right now has to deal with word that some users end up being locked out of their devices.

Devices locking up with iOS 10

The new issue tied up with the second iOS beta release randomly locks out Apple IDs was first reported on Reddit which racked in similar complaints from individuals who experienced the same problem.

According to BGR, a message on Apple devices requesting users to re-enter their Apple ID password occurs. While re-entering the password can easily address that, it is seen as a bug associate with app-specific passwords.

While that seems a bit light, the issue somehow becomes alarming when Apple’s iForgot password reset comes into play. Being a buggy version, the feature affects uses who have enabled the two-factor authentication. It turns out that resorting to this feature results in them being locked out and endingup with a useless device.

Apple informed

Apple has been made aware of the situation but no solution or fix has been released thus far. Such is seen tied up to the security settings and some techies are trying to find ways to try and work around it.

While the iOS 10 bug is to be expected, it could be an issue that Apple needs to address before the Fall. Until the final version of iOS 10 comes out, it is likely that this problem will be resolved soon, probably with the iOS 10 jailbreak claims that Pangu showed off at MOSET 2016 earlier this month.
