'No Man's Sky' News, Release Date: First Trailer Debuts as Episode 1 of "Guides to the Universe" Video Series [VIDEO]

"No Man's Sky" is shaping up to be a force to be reckoned with in the gaming industry, as it gives the term "exploration" a whole new meaning with its quintillion planets to discover. Hello Games' Sean Murray admitted that it would take more than a lifetime to explore all of the planets in the game, which conveniently fits into just a mere 6GB on the disk.

Now, fans can get a glimpse of the vast universe of "No Man's Sky," as the first trailer debuts. The video series launched by the new trailer will be called "Guides to the Universe," which will come in several installments. The first trailer is called "Explore," which according to Gamespot will be followed by "Fight," "Trade," and "Survive."

Last week, it was announced that Hello Games' "No Man's Sky" had achieved gold status, meaning the developers have arrived at a version of a game that is ready for release. The team took to Twitter to celebrate four years of hard work, showing off a disk of "No Man's Sky" that is set for release this August.

In the meantime, fans can check out the first trailer, which serves as episode 1 of "Guides to the Universe" video series, featuring "limitless variety" that gamers are sure to enjoy. The video features several terrains in various planets, as the gamer takes in worlds that are occupied by animals of different shapes and sizes in snowy or dry terrains.

"Guides to the Universe" episode 1 ends with a quote from author and Nobel Prize winner André Gide, "Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore."
