‘WhatsApp’ Release Date, News & Update: What Devices Will Lose the Famous App By The End Of The Year?

Some Devices to Lose the 'WhatsApp' Application This Year?

The "WhatsApp" application is trimming down its platforms by the end of the year, so read carefully if you own one of these devices and currently enjoying the services of the app. Not only will they stop releasing updates from these OS supported devices but they're pulling off the whole application as well.

"WhatsApp" will cease its services on devices currently supported by the Symbian OS, those that use Blackberry smartphones that uses the BBOS as well as the Nokia S40 device. As early as March 2016, the eventual scrapping of the "WhatsApp" application on these devices were already announced.

Unfortunately, Windows, WhatsApp Web, Android and iOS systems are not spared from the plans to totally remove the app from these devices. Take note that, only the older versions of the Windows, iOS and Android devices will get affected by the recent "WhatsApp" update.

Meanwhile, a Lebanese-Canadian  developer named Nadim Kobeissi recently discovered a glitch or maybe a deliberate blocking of Saudi numbers on the "WhatsApp" application. In a letter he wrote on the GistHubGist, he explained how he's not able to contact his friend Alice, who happens to have a Saudian number despite using a European WiFi.

Now, he's accusing "WhatsApp" of deliberately blocking Saudi numbers while allowing them to freely communicate via chat. Although "WhatsApp" has previously denied this allegations and said, it's Saudi's restrictions that's causing the drop calls, Kobeissi didn't budge and cited reasons why he thinks, "WhatsApp" has everything to do with it.

The application has over 1 billion users worldwide and during its time, has released over thousands of updates to give their consumers the best call and messaging experience ever. The most notable so far if when they officially announced in their blog that the "WhatsApp" application is now officially free.
