Biggest Takeaways From 2018 Golden Globes nominations

Next week marks the beginning of San Diego Comic Con, and lucky fans who get to attend the highly anticipated event would be glad to know that Warner Bros.' has include "Wonder Woman" in their lineup, which means juicy details may be unveiled (a trailer, perhaps?) during the event.

While the film isn't set t be released until June next year, so much hype has surrounded the first DC female superhero to get a film. Gal Gadot's "Wonder Woman" did make her debut earlier this year on "Batman v Superman," but her standalone film arrives next year, when she sets out to save the world from the yet-undefined evil forces that threaten humanity's existence.

The studio remains tight-lipped about the official plot of "Wonder Woman," but they did give a backstory on how Diana Prince, the Amazonian princess and warrior, leaves the island paradise she calls home to help save the world. Pretty vague, as of this point, but surely more details will arise during next week's SDCC.

This year is the 75th anniversary of the character, and Warner Bros. and DC are already preparing for a celebration during the SDCC. In fact, the first image of the LEGO Wonder Woman has already been released, courtesy of the Wall Street Journal. The 6'1" model is made up of 22,736 LEGO bricks, and took 99 hours to design, and 128 hours to build.

Meanwhile, Entertainment Weekly has released their Comic Con special cover featuring Gadot as Wonder Woman. Batman News shared the image, along with some stills and behind the scenes photos, featuring co-star Chris Pine and director Patty Jenkins.

"Wonder Woman" is written by Allan Heinberg and Geoff Johns, with a story from Zack Snyder and Allan Heinberg. Starring alongside Gadot and Pine are Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, David Thewlis, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Ewen Bremner and Saïd Taghmaoui. The film debuts in theates on June 2, 2017.
