iPhone 5 Delivery Date: Apple has Begun Shipping Device

Apple has reportedly begun to ship its recently unveiled iPhone 5.

According to the AppleInsider, a delivery update from UPS has shown that the shipment began transit from ZhengZhou in China Sept. 16. However, the packages would not be delivered until the release date of the device, which is Sept 21.

Though the Apple website says "preparing for shipment," if we check the status of the order with the reference number, the product has already been shipped, AppleInsider said. There have been instances when the iPhone pre-orders for certain customers have reached earlier than the product launch date.

Apple unveiled its iPhone 5 Sept. 12 and it started taking pre-orders from Sept. 14. People have been eagerly waiting the arrival of the new gadget, which will be available in stores by Sept. 21.

Shipping will begin Sept. 21 for pre-orders from U.S., Canada, U.K., Germany, France, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore. It will be arriving to more countries in a week and another twenty countries will be added to the list in a month.

Apple also announced that the redesigned iPod Nano and Touch, along with the new Ear Pods for both iPhone and iPhone 5, will be released soon. iPods will be available in October.
