Cher Slams Kate Hudson's Fabletics Athleticwear Brand, Says She Was 'Conned' [VIDEO]

Fabletics, Kate Hudson's new athletic clothing brand, seemed to have turned off some customers, including songstress Cher. According to Cher, she felt that she was being conned and aired out her frustrations on Twitter.

Apparently, Cher tried to get some goods from Fabletics, and thought that she was going through so much just to purchase or have a peek at what the business was offering. Cher was particularly troubled with Fabletics' quiz.

Cher tweeted that she made the mistake of visiting Fabletics. She continued that she had a very difficult time because Fabletics would not even let her see anything until she gives them her first-born child. She ended by saying that she felt she was being conned.

Fabletics saw Cher's comments and immediately responded in a more pleasant manner. The company started by saying that they love Cher and advised her to be aware that their quiz's purpose is to personalize shopping.

Us Magazine stated that Fabletics is a subscriber-based athletic brand. Non-members like Cher are required to fill out long questionnaires before being allowed to view the various workout styles and items, which range from sports bras to maxi dresses to swimwear. Members immediately get to view all the options whenever they visit, as well as receive perks and discounts.

Fox News cited a spokesperson for JustFab, the parent company of Fabletics, in saying that the brand is disappointed that Cher did not like their member quiz. The spokesperson explained that asking shoppers for their style and size preferences, helps their clients save a lot of money, as well as eliminate waste.

Fabletics continued that they only make clothes that people want and wish that they could turn back time and explain their objectives to Cher.

Since its launch, Fabletics has received mixed reactions from people. There are those who greatly appreciate the personalized approach to shopping. After finishing the quiz, members find it very convenient to browse through the available options and purchase since their preferences are automatically saved.

Some of the notable names who admire the business are Nikki Reed, Emma Roberts and Ashley Benson. On the other hand, Cher and other potential shoppers found the questionnaire as a hindrance to their shopping activities.

Despite Cher's sentiments, Fabletics has actually been a lucrative venture for Kate Hudson. Forbes stated that Fabletics raked in $150 million in revenue in 2015, with almost all sales coming from internet users. The brand is planning to expand to actual retail stores soon.
