Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Games Latest News & Update: Over 200 Games Now Listed

Microsoft has updated the list of games comprising the Xbox One backwards compatibility feature for July and the roster has now swelled to an amazing 200.

Word of new game titles were already hinted before and the latest update finds eight new game titles appending the list. The latest additions were Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episodes 1 and 2, Fret Nice, Bionic Commando Rearmed 2, Crystal Defenders, Neogeo Battle Coliseum, Capcom Arcade Cabinet, and Pac-Man Museum, all of which have now been confirmed by “Major Nelson”.

200 and counting

With over 200 games on the list, Xbox One owners looking for ways to play old Xbox 360 game titles can check the list to see if their favorite titles are included. In the event that the game is not yet on the list, don’t fret. Microsoft plans to add hundred more are on the way, Game Spot reported.

The latest development surrounding the Xbox backwards compatibility is the second update Microsoft has done this week. New games such as Half-Minute Hero: Super Mega Neo Climax, Flock, and Tour de France 2009 came out last Tuesday.

Notable game titles among the 200

The latest games added by Microsoft may be familiar to most though it would be best to go over the bigger list of titles. Notable among the 200 games under the Xbox backwards compatibility program include:

1. Assassin’s Creed
2. Bellator: MMA Onslaught
3. Borderlands
4. Call of Duty: Black Ops
5. Counter Strike: Global Offensive
6. Dark Souls
7. Doom 1 and 2
8. Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas
9. Gears of War (1,2 and 3)
10. Halo
11. Left 4 Dead (1 and 2)
12. Red Dead Redemption
13. Star Wars: The Force Unleased (I and II)
14. Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas (1 and 2)
15. The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings

That list alone carries a lot of familiar game titles with more to come. So if by any chance there are titles missing on the list, those could be forthcoming with more games expected to follow.
