WWE Rumors 2016: Roman Reigns Drug Issues Caused By Popular ‘Party Drug’ [POLL, VIDEO]

Roman Reigns’ suspension is over and the former WWE heavyweight champion is expected to spring back into action. His return comes in the nick of time as he compete in the Triple-Threat match at WWE Battleground this coming Sunday.

The Heel Turn may happen

Reigns will be rejoining his former “Shield” brothers Seth Rollins and current heavyweight champion Dean Ambrose in a match for the WWE title. With Reigns mostly in the sidelines for the past month, the chances of seeing him win the title don’t appear to be likely.

Instead, Reigns will likely do something else. This could be the much talked about rumor of him turning heel, the Bleacher Report reported.

The change of character has been in the air for months now, something that cropped up during his WWE title run. A scenario that many expect to happen is Reigns turning on Ambrose who is likely to retain the title.

Was it Adderall?

The WWE does not usually disclose the drug that was tied up behind their star’s suspension and the people tied up to it are unlikely to talk about it. But the word from Wrestlingnews.co is that the culprit behind Roman Reigns’ suspension was “Adderall”.

Adderall brings up a familiar drug tied to the NFL back in 2013 and something that befell another WWE star, Adam Rose. The drug is known to treat people with ADHD but can also act as a performance-enhancer. It is also popularly known as a party drug.

More to that, Adderall does offer serious side effects such as irregular hearbeats, delirium, panic or heart failure. The fact that Reigns doesn’t hold a valid prescription of the drug did him in, a violation that did not exempt the “Big Dog” from the WWE’s talent wellness policy.

A new character likely to rise

With the whole drug issue technically over, the more important thing right now is to see how Reigns will return. He is likely to hear the boos and jeers once more and the time-off could have helped him improve on certain facets of his persona.

WWE Battleground takes place this Sunday at the Verizon Center in Washington, DC starting at 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT. The WWE PPV can be seen live via the WWE Network.
