'Pokemon GO' Cheats, Tips & Tricks: Why Some People GPS Spoof Location For ‘Pokemon Go’

"Pokemon Go" GPS location spoofing is perhaps one of the most tempting of all "Pokemon Go" cheats and hacks out there. Yes, it can be done but players better not do it; "Pokemon Go" is quite strict in its dealing with those who have been discovered.

"Pokemon Go" GPS location spoofing, or spoofing in general, is a way to trick the game or any app into thinking that the device or smartphone is in a different location. Spoofing mobile devices has legal uses such as dev testing, but when it comes to the "Pokemon Go" game however, it's a big no-no.

The common sentiment among players is that those caught GPS spoofing in "Pokemon Go" should get banned. Obviously, since location is an important factor in "Pokemon Go" gameplay, tampering with it should carry a heavy penalty.

But apparently, Pokemon Go players can be considerate. There are actually situations that players are willing to overlook the GPS spoofing deed, such as the case of a Reddit user who confessed on the site that he employed GPS spoofing to play the game, reports The Bit Bag.

But he has his reason that, according to the opinion of fellow Reddit users and gamers, could be considered as valid. The Reddit user is actually partially disable with extremely limited mobility.

Rather than seeing his disability as a hindrance, he solved it by opting to GPS spoof his location so he could play "Pokemon Go." It was the only solution he could think of. He was getting rather depressed seeing all his friends to out chasing Pokemon.

But his post opened up a new challenged for "Pokemon Go" developers. Rather than banning players who resort to GPS spoof outright, some players are now suggesting to take into account the plight of people with disabilities, who may want to chase Pokemons around but just can't because of their physical limitations.

One of the suggestions put forth is a new "Pokemon Go" feature specifically targeted for persons with disabilities.
