iOS 9.3.3 Jailbreak Latest Rumors, Release Date & Update: Pangu Releases ‘Half-Baked’ Crack

Apple jailbreaking fans will be happy to know that there is finally an iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak available. The only problem is that it is not the full crack that many have been looking forward to.

The alleged jailbreak comes in the form of PPHelper, Pangu’s surprise revelation for 64-bit owners. The working iOS jailbreak covers versions 9.2 to 9.3.2 and only available for use on Windows machines.

A ‘Semi-Tethered’ iOS Jailbreak

Before Apple jailbreaking fans start to rejoice, there are certain things you need to consider. One is that PPHelper is a ‘semi-tethered’ tool.

To explain, there are usuall tethered and untethered jailbreaks. Tethered jailbreaks require users to re-enable the jailbreak whenever they reboot their device.

For untethered jailbreaks, users need only to hook up their Apple devices once, apply the jailbreak and they are good to go.

PPHelper is classified as semi-tethered since it in the middle of both. Apple device owners don't need to hook up the PC but will need to do so to re-enable the jailbreak app when they reboot it, per CNet.

iPad Pro 9.7, iPod Touch 6 not included

Seeing how folks have long waited for a jailbreak, the PPHelper should do fine for the meantime. But the problem is that it doesn’t cover all iOS-run devices.

According to Forbes, the crack will not work on the iPad Pro 9.7 and iPod Touch 6.

Only Chinese version available

The last downside is the fact that the device is available only in Chinese. For those who can read or have someone to guide them, it could be worth a try.

But an English version is likely to follow, potentially updated and stable. With that in mind, Apple device owners could opt to wait a little bit more.

For those who want to give the PPHelper a try, you can download it here. Before resorting to anything, users are once again reminded to do the necessary such as backing up the device first before proceeding.
