'Stranger Things' Season 2 Air Date, Spoilers, News & Update: Watch Every Awesome Borrowed Scene Beside Its 80's Inspiration [VIDEO]

People simply cannot stop talking about "Stranger Things" Season 1. The Netflix series already got rave reviews early on. Now, it is one of the most talked-about shows in social media.

But what is it about "Stranger Things" Season 1 that made it such a hit? Some fans say they love the show's scary storyline as well as the talented young cast. However, there are speculations that the series also gets points for paying tribute to several classic 80's films.

"Stranger Things" Season 1 had so many awesome scenes that paid homage to movies like "Goonies", "E.T.", "Close Encounters of The Third Kind" and even "Nightmare on Elm Street". Luckily, one creative fan decided to make a video that puts each borrowed scene beside the film that inspired it (via Sploid).

Every Borrowed "Stranger Things" Season 1 Scene Compared To Its 80's Inspiration

Vimeo user Ulysse Thevenon took note of every little detail from "Stranger Things" Season 1. He then created a video that compares the show's borrowed scene with the original. The result is astounding.

There is little question that Eleven's relationship with Mike Wheeler and the rest of the boys is an homage to "E.T." However, it becomes clearer while seeing the scene where El is found by the boys and her adorable "Stranger Things" Season 1 transformation via a blond wig.

Most of the scenes featuring Hawkins Laboratory pay homage to "Alien" as well as "Close Encounters of The Third Kind". The video even takes note of the little tribute to "Explorers", which starred a young Ethan Hawke.

Will There Be More Awesome Tributes In "Stranger Things" Season 2?

Fans are already hoping that Netflix will release a second season with more awesome references to the classic 80's films. There is little doubt that "Stranger Things" Season 2 will be just as nostalgic as the first season.

There is no word yet on when "Stranger Things" Season 2 will air. However, fans are hoping that the series will return to Netflix by July next year.
