'Overwatch' Latest News & Update: Blizzard Released New Patch for Ana and McGree; Update Include Bug Fixes
"Overwatch" fans on PS4 can now play an improved version of sniper Ana Amari as Blizzard Entertainment already fixed some of her flaws. It appears that fans were not satisfied with how she performed since she was introduced to the game a week ago, so they made sure that the game developer will know about their complaints.
By writing feedbacks, players hoped that Blizzard will hear them out so they can enjoy the game more. The game developer did not disappoint and they responded by delivering the new "Overwatch" patch on July 26.
The patch was posted on Blizzard's Forums and some of the updates that were rolled out include Ana's self-healing abilities and McGree's power was restrained a bit. For the complete list of "Overwatch" updates, see the note below:
- Biotic Rifle
- Rate of fire increased by 20%
- Magazine size increased from 8 to 10
Blizzard commented that while Ana was well-received when she was first introduced, players found her to be a bit weaker than expected. Aside from improving her character for better gameplay, her healing ability and damage output were also tweaked.
- Primary Fire
- Damage falloff range decreased by 10 meters
- Damage falloff amount is unchanged
- Alternate Fire
- Rate of fire increased by 15%
- Recovery time (i.e. the amount of time before McCree can fire again) decreased from 0.5 seconds to 0.35 seconds
BUG TUNE-UPS. Targets of Ana's Sleep Dart will no longer instantly recover when damaged (recovery time is now 0.5 seconds)
Fixed UI compatibility issues for ATI cards. The bug that cause Mei, Lucio and other characters to disappear or partially render have been fixed
It should be noted that this newly released patch is not yet applicable for PS4 and Xbox One. Blizzard announced that separate "Overwatch" patches for the said consoles are coming at a later date. In the meantime, the updates are for Windows PC only.
