'Pokemon Go' Cheats, Tips & Tricks: PokeNotify Taken Out From Google Play Store But Similar Companion Apps Still Available

It's now official; one of the most popular "Pokemon GO" companion app is no longer available. PokeNotify, the Pokemon GO helper app popular among players, has been removed from Google's Play Store.

PokeNotify developer developer posted the announcement on Reddit saying that useful Pokemon GO companion app is no longer available on Google's Play Store. Apparently, Google's reason for the removal of PokeNotify is that it violates "impersonation" policy of Play Store.

The PokeNotify app is a widely popular Pokemon GO helper app. With the PokeNotify app installed, player will still get notifications if a Pokemon has spawn in the player's vicinity even without the actual Pokemon GO game app running.

PokeNotify's popularity is due to the fact that it solves the most common problem encounteredd by Pokemon GO players. The Pokemon GO app is notorious for draining the phone's battery. It has been reported by users that running the Pokemon GO game could drain a fully-charged phone in just three hours or even less.

However, Pokemon GO players may still opt to install the PokeNotify app if they want. The developer of PokeNotify provided a link where players may download the PokeNotify APK outside the Google Play Store.

It should be noted that the PokeNotify app does not require players to log in their Pokemon GO account. As such, there is no danger that their accounts would be banned by Niantic Labs.

But it should please Pokemon GO players to know that PokeNotify is not the only app out there that could help them get their Pokemons without draining their phones' battery so much. Another app may also play the role of this Pokemon GO hack of detecting Pokemons without running the Pokemon GO game.

Another app, the Pokemon Detector, could also detect pokemons in the vicinity without requiring players to open the game, reports Android Authority. For just $2.99, the Pokemon GO companion app lets users screen notification they wish to receive based on Pokemon type.
