Xbox One Backward Compatibility Latest News & Update: 'Boom Boom Rockets,' 'Syberia,' 'Exelica' Added From Xbox 360

Microsoft launched three new Xbox 360 titles via the Xbox One Backward Compatibility feature. Fans continue to anticipate some of the best last-generation games to arrive as Microsoft continue to add more to the list.

The three new games that were added from Xbox 360 using the Xbox One Backward Compatibility are "Boom Boom Rockets," "Syberia" and "Triggerheart Exelica." At present, there are 16 Xbox One Backward Compatibility games. "Boom Boom Rockets" and "Syberia" were released ahead of "Triggerheart Exelica."

The original arcade shooter game, "Triggerheart Exelica," launched in 2008, developed by Warashi. "Boom Boom Rocket" was developed by Bizarre Creations where players properly time the blast of fireworks while working with the music beat. "Syberia" is a 2002 adventure game that boasted of beautiful graphics and plot threads. The Xbox One Backward Compatibility will allow new-generation gamers to enjoy these classic titles on a more powerful machine.

According to Express, the new Xbox One Backward Compatibility titles will appear in library of players who previously owned these. Those who did not own the last-generation titles can purchase from the Xbox One Store, together with other Xbox One Backward Compatibility games that are currently available. Xbox One Backward Compatibility gamers can also insert the old Xbox 360 disc to gain access to the Xbox One version. Microsoft are planning to feature at least four more games in the future. The gameplay, plot and graphics are generally the same but offer some form of nostalgia to those who miss the original titles.

Vine Report noted that several gamers have been very satisfied with the Xbox One Backward Compatibility, especially as more titles are being added. One of the biggest titles to make the transfer is "Red Dead Redemption." Previously, Microsoft also featured "Tour de France 2009," "Half Minute Hero," "FLOCK!," "Crystal Defenders" and "Fallout: New Vegas."

Fans are still looking out for big announcements for favorites like "Bioshock." The Xbox One Backward Compatibility feature may soon introduce requested games like "The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim" and "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3." In total, the available games are just below 225. Players can enjoy more Xbox One Backward Compatibility titles with the new Games with Gold August list. More updates and details are expected soon.
