'HTC Vive Price Hike' a Product of the Brexit Issue?

Brexit Initiates 'HTC Vive Price Hike' in the UK

Apparently, the gaming world is not spared by the magnitude of UK leaving the European Union (EU). Just recently, the popular VR gaming platform HTC Vive price hike soared from £689 to £759 in the UK since August 1 and the reason; currency valuation brought by Brexit.

According to the HTC Vive blog, they are closely monitoring the movement of UK currency in order to possibly bring the price to normal again. Once again, the company wants to give their customers the maximum gaming experience and that includes providing them with an acceptable HTC Vive Price.

Along with the announcement is the statement that says "Due to recent currency valuation changes and the current value of the GBP we are adjusting the price of the HTC Vive in the UK to £759 + P&P.  The adjustment will come into effect on Monday 1st August."

The HTC Vive received positive reviews since its launching in April. Peter Brown of Gamespot said, the HTC Vive is the only way you can experienced the most advanced VR technology without leaving the comfort of your own home.

Although it can't be totally put as a direct competition to the Oculus Rift when it comes to comes to quality, the way you handle and set up the HTC Vive says a lot about what you expect when you use it; a state of the art gaming. As the issue on Brexit remains on top of UK's concern, expect, not only the HTC Vive price hike to continue but also the rest in the gaming world like PC components and console hardwares.
