WWE 2K17 Latest News, Release Date & Update: List Of Stars Updated, Lots Still Missing

The last time we reported on WWE 2K17, it was the addition of the McMahons – Vince, Shane and Stepanie. There were a handful of personalities already confirmed but now the list has ballooned with many active wrestlers still missing.

As mentioned on that post, the initial stars confirmed included John Cena, Brock Lesnar, Sasha Banks, Apollo Crews, Shinsuke Nakamura, Nia Jax, Bill Goldberg and “The Ultimate Warrior”. The lineup is expected to be updated soon as WWE 2K17 tries to improve on the success of WWE 2K16.

The latest additions

GameSpot lists down the other confirmed WWE stars appearing on WWE 2K17, a mix of new and old faces. The list includes: Aiden English, Booker T, Brian Pillman, Brie Bella, Nikki Bella, Chris Jericho, Diego, Erick Rowan, Fernando, Heath Slater, Jey Uso, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, Jimmy Uso, Konnor, Larry Zbyzsko,  R-Truth, Simon Gotch and Viktor.

From the list, the big stars headlining WWE Raw and SmackDown are obviously missing though it could be due to their schedule. Body scans take some time so the ones who had time to do so may have been done first.

Same route as WWE 2K16?

Right now, WWE 2K17 could follow the same route as WWE 2K16. Without DLC, the original game came with 120 characters. Doing the math on the confirmed names, it sums to about 26 WWE stars for now.

WWE 2K17 is set for an Oct. 11 release date so some other stars like Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, AJ Styles or Dean Ambrose could be among the ones added soon. With new names returning as well, 2K Sports has a tough grind ahead to ramp up the roster count.

More updates on WWE 2K17 are expected in the following weeks so make sure to check back on the latest word.
