Assassin's Creed 3 Release Date: New Trailer Showcases Connor's Story (Watch Here)

Ubisoft released a new trailer for Assassin's Creed III that depicts the events that transformed main protagonist Connor into the tomahawk wielding master assassin fighting against oppression.

The trailer portrays Connor as young boy growing up in the wilderness of colonial America. He is free from oppression and burden and enjoying his youth. But his world is turned upside down and his village burned to ashes.

He seeks out and joins the assassin's in the hopes of gaining revenge on those who destroyed his world. It is also revealed in the trailer that Connor kills colonial Americans.

But it appears that his journey finds him joining the revolutionary forces in their battle against the British and encountering historical figures including George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Charles Lee, Israel Putnam, Paul Revere, General Lafayette, John Pitcairn, William Prescott, King George III, Samuel Adams and Friedrich Wilhelm von Steuben.

Assassin's Creed III will release for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, beginning in North America on Oct. 30, with a Microsoft Windows version following on Nov 20. The game will also launch alongside the Nintendo Wii U on Nov. 18 and Nov. 30 in Europe.
