Can fans still expect "House of Cards" Season 5 release date anytime soon? The question seems to be on everyone's mind with recent reports that a key member of the "House of Cards" cast left the show.

Elizabeth Marvel No Longer A House Of Cards Cast, Joins Homeland

It has been confirmed that Elizabeth Marvel would no longer be a "House of Cards" cast. According to Entertainment Weekly, the actress will be ditching Netflix's "House of Cards" in favor of Showtime's "Homeland." As such, fans would no longer be seeing Marvel play Heather Dunbar when "House of Cards" Season 5 release date eventually arrives.

But Elizabeth Marvels new character in "Homeland" is not far from her "House Of Cards" power player Dunbar. She will now portray Elizabeth Keane in "Homeland" the first female President-elect in the show.

'House Of Cards' Season 1 to 3 Starts Airing In Sky UK

But aside from the changes in "House of Cards" Cast, it appears that recent news about the show leaves a positive note to fans. For instance, as a testament to the strong "House of Cards" demand abroad, the series will now be aired in UK via Sky.

Sky UK will be airing "House of Cards" Seasons 1 to 3 as part of the new titles the company will be offering under its Buy&Keep program, reports Pocket-lint. For the first time, UK viewers will be able to watch the Netflix' political drama series without the need of a Netflix subscription.

'House Of Cards' Season 5 Air Date

For now, cancellation rumors are just that, rumors. Fans who are a bit worried need to remind themselves that the "House of Cards" cast and crew, lead by actor Kevin Spacey, was already seen filming in the Baltimore area.

In addition, "House of Cards" producer Dana Brunetti already addressed those speculations saying that he has no plans of ending the series for the moment.
