‘Civilization 6’ Release Date, Gameplay & Update: Smarter Barbarians, Quirky Leaders Coming In Game?

"Civilization 6" release date is almost upon us and gamers can't wait to get their hands on the latest intallment of the long-running strategy franchise. Of course, it doesn't help that Firaxis has been relentlessly teasing bits and pieces of Civ 6 gameplay making fans wish it were already October and that Civ 6 release has finally arrived.

The latest part of "Civilization 6" gameplay announced by Firaxis is that the upcoming game will feature a new leader.  When Civ 6 release date arrives, players will have the chance of playing as Pedro II, the ruler of the Empire of Brazil, reports Gamasutra.

The introduction of a new Brazilian "Civilization 6" leader could not have been more well-timed. At the moment, the global recognition of Brazil runs high due to the Rio 2016 Sumer Olypmics. Gamers are surely hyped to give Pedro II a try in their next conquest of world domination when Civ 6 release date comes.

Another piece of "Civilization 6" gameplay that devs from Firaxis Games is that the upcoming game vastly differs from all its predecessors. In fact, it would be probably best to leave behind some of the techniques players have learned when "Civilization 6" release date arrives this October.

For instance, it was revealed that the upcoming game will be very different when it comes to workers deployment, reports PCGamesN. When "Civilization 6" release date comes, gamers will find that there will be no automation option for workers.

Senior game producer Dennis Shirk of Firaxis Games explained that when "Civilization 6" release comes, players will no longer need the worker automation option because worker will be able to complete tasks instantly. This makes sense because of the city zoning introduced into the "Civilization 6" gameplay. Automated workers could build over zones the player has assigned for other improvements so the option was removed.

Another thing to note is that players will notice that Barbarians will be a lot smarter when "Civilization 6" release date comes. Dennis' advise? Better kill them quick before they report to their camp of what they had seen and they'll soon be sending a raiding party to burn your city improvements.

To makes matters even more complicated and exciting, diplomacy in the upcoming game is a whole new ball game. One thing that player will notice when "Civilization 6" release date arrives is that the diplomatic screen offers a lot of information about ones current relationship with rival civilizations.

And it appears that each civilization leader in "Civilization 6" is now a bit quirky and each with his or her own distinct personality. For instance, a neighbor Genghis Khan would likely take over one's territory, Gandhi will likely use nukes and China's Qin wants to build all wonders for himself and easily gets upset of players have more wonders than him.

"Civilization 6" release date is scheduled this coming October 21, 2016 for PC (Microsoft, Linux, Mac). Stay tuned for more news and updates!
