A Walkthrough for the Wii U's Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition (Watch it Here!)

The Wii U touch controller will now officially be referred to as "the BatPad."

The video is pretty similar to how Armored Edition's lead interface designer, Patrick Edmond described gameplay.

At this year's E3, he spoke with E3 about how the Wii U's tablet style controller will "really bring the experience to the player like never before." As Edmond described:

Navigation - "The map is now sitting in your hands...The benefit of having the map on a second screen, displayed at all times, is that you no longer have to pause the game to access it. So you can just free roam around Arkham City at will, and just never get lost."

Detective Work - "Batman is the world's greatest detective, and throughout his experience in Arkham City, he'll need to look for clues. The way you do this now is by physically moving the controller as a remote window using augmented reality to find clues."

The Armor - "The new armor that both Batman and Catwoman will be wearing in this version Batman Arkham City: Armored Edition have many powers. The first and most important will help them in combat with the new B.A.T mode - Battle Armored Tech. Essentially wheat it does is you gather kinetic energy as you fight, and then when your gauge is full, and can release it in combat and unleash fury on the thugs and enemies."

Admittedly, it's all very cool, bright, shiny, flashy, but just a bit gimmicky. I'd rather see gameplay additions than just alterations.

Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition releases on Nov. 18 in the US alongside the Wii U.
