'No Man's Sky' Release Date, Tips & Tricks: Update 1.03 Makes Drastic Changes To The Game; What Happens To Your Pre-Launch Save?

"No Man's Sky" will officially launch on Aug. 9, 2016. The action-adventure sci-fi survival game was developed by Hello Games, which already presented "No Man's Sky" patch notes just before the big release.

Several days before "No Man's Sky" is set to launch, there had been a number of player leaks, revealing a lot of information about the plot, gameplay and in-game graphics. The game also took four years to develop, including the delay in the official release date. Founder and creator Sean Murray has gone through so much but remained resilient enough to see "No Man's Sky" finally delivered to waiting fans.

The Bitbag revealed that "No Man's Sky" featured Update 1.03 patch notes which players need to install before playing. Players who are playing an unofficial copy of "No Man's Sky" can save the game even after they install the update. The drawback is that they will miss the new content and experiences if they fail to delete the save before the update. Most likely, Hello Games intended for gamers to choose the official copy of the game to address the earlier leakage issues. Hello Games will also allegedly wipe out its "No Man's Sky" servers on August 7 and 8 in preparation for the big release.

The "No Man's Sky" official website stated that Hello Games will continue to update the game in the same manner, so Update 1.03 will be the first of many. The game developers teased that they have been working in the past several weeks to showcase new and additional paths, creatures, planets, atmosphere, planet rotations and the entire universe. Adjustments have also been made on terrain generation, inventory, ship diversity, trading, feeding, survival, graphical effects, balancing, combat, space combat, space stations, networking, stability, flying over terrain, writing, exploits and ship scanning.

"No Man's Sky" players can take on three unique paths that they can follow throughout the game. The rules of the universe generation algorithm have reportedly been altered so gamers can expect a more dynamic experience and a truly massive open-world. Galaxies are currently 10 times bigger. The inventory has been enlarged and is said to continue growing in further updates, which will also mean more trading opportunities. "No Man's Sky" will launch on Aug. 9, 2016 on PlayStation 4 and PC.
