New Character Announced at New York Comic Con for Deadpool The Game

The Deadpool video game was first announced at San Francsico Comic Con earlier this year, so it seems only fitting that we get more info on it at New York Comic Con a coast away. A fellow mercenary, though not quite as mouthy, has been announced as coming to Deadpool the Videogame

Neena Thurman, better known as Domino, will be appearing alongside the merc with a mouth in his new videogame, though we're not yet sure in exactly what capactiy. Though usually seen with Cable of X-Force, Domino has crossed paths with Deadpool before, but I suppose that's the nature of mercenary work.

Domino is best known for her skills as a marskman and her probability-altering mutant powers. She appeared in several issues of Cable & Deadpool, in which she and Deadpool are often at odds with each other. Ironically, she also appears in Deadpool's ending in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, celebrating Deadpool's victory over Galactus.

Like Deadpool, Domino was part of a government program to create the perfect weapon. As well as being a superb marksman and athlete, Domino is a mutant with the ability to affect probability in her favor, and against her enemies, which should make for some interesting gameplay.

Deadpool on the other hand, was the subject of the same Weapon X program that gave Wolverine his adumantium claws, the program awarded him with similar powers, including a regenerative healing factor, disease immunity, superhuman stamina and agility. But the often annoying and razor sharp wit? That's a talent all his own.

Daniel Way, who regularly writes the Deadpool comics, will also script the video game. It's currently slated for a release in 2013 on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
