‘Pokemon Go’ Latest News & Updates: Catching All Characters Globally And Lose Weight

‘Pokemon Go’ Latest News & Updates: Catching All Characters Will Require Globe-Trotting

“Pokemon Go” continues to get people up and going and for the ones who are bent on capturing all of them, traveling is the way to go.

By traveling, this is not merely walking from one street to the other. Rather it has to do about actually moving from one country to another which obviously entails spending money. Depending on how one is hooked to “Pokemon Go”, the thought seems crazy.

First person to capture all monsters named

There was one person who was able to do it though he had financial help. Nick Johnson became the first player to catch all the Pokemon characters thanks to Expedia who sponsored him. That included a trip to Sydney, Australia where he was able to snag the Pokemon “Kangaskhan”.

To date, Johnson has a total of 5,000 collected “Pokemon Go” characters. As one would expect, his journey was a hectic one that saw him lose some pounds in the process.

Johnson reportedly lost eight to ten pounds from his quest and this somehow adds a touch of health-related benefit. With players needing to get up and (Pokemon) Go, the constant walking helps burn some calories with hunters barely noticing it.

Do you really need to travel?

With Johnson’s feat, there could be some following his lead. Then again, there are some who find it crazy to travel all the way to other countries just to capture the region-specific Pokemons.

There are cheats like GPS spoofing done by many but the legal-playing folks are betting on the egg-hatching route. Seeing the essence of the game from Niantic, getting the rare Pokemon monsters seems a bit farfetched.

A look at the Reddit forums renders a debate on the matter though someone named “CSULBPaintsniffer” demos that it can actually be done. “Pokemon Go” players will vary in levels of addiction. Some are willing to spend and get the chance to travel. But would it be that feasible to spend ridiculously just to capture those critters?
