The race is on for the rare “Pokemon Go” characters but some players are not exactly guided on how. It entails a lot of walking though there are ways to work around such.
A good way to raise the potential of getting Pokemon rares is to use the Incense feature that comes with the game. It can help draw the critters towards the gamers, something that can be used for 30 minutes. The feature spawns any Pokemon as frequent as possible which hopefully will include some hard-to-find types.
Choosing the right place to use ‘Incense’
While the Incense tool is a good way to get more “Pokemon Go” characters, timing and the area where it would be used is equally important. The best place to pick is the one where there are rare (to none) sightings of Pokemon. This can be done by using another feature known as ‘Sightings’.
With ‘Sightings’, “Pokemon Go” players can get a good glimpse of whether there are critters around the area. Should there be some, gamers may want to move a bit until no sightings are returned.
Assuming that “Pokemon Go” players are able to find a suitable area with no Pokemon characters in sight, activate the incense timer and wait for the spawning to start. Among the rare ones to watch out for include “Abra”, “Blastoise”, “Charmander” and so on.
The reason behind this tactic is that Incense is able to reel in random “Pokemon Go” characters with no other Pokemon within the radius. The rate of catching the rare Pokemon characters is unknown though it gives players a good way to maximize using Incense.
Incense best used when moving
For “Pokemon Go” players, it is best to note that Incense works best when they are moving. Staying in one position can still work but the chances of seeing spawn rates are only one Pokemon per 5 minutes.
Moving, on the other hand, will reveal Pokemon characters every minute. With a wide open space, a step or two could be a big difference instead of embarking on long walks.
