Andy Dalton led a picture-perfect drive to set a game-winning 39-yard field goal by kicker Mike Nugent with eight seconds remaining in the game and the Cincinnati Bengals defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 23-20 on NBC's "Sunday Night Football."
The Bengals took the ball with just under two minutes remaining after the Steelers tied the game at 20 a piece on a 49-yard field goal by Pittsburgh kicker Shaun Suisham.
The Bengals moved the ball 55-yards on 12-plays to get into Nugent's range. Dalton was 6 of 8 on the drive. He finished the game with 23 of 37 for 297 yards and two touchdowns.
A.J. Green had eight catches for 144 yards and two touchdowns. Green leads the NFL with 772 receiving yards and has eight touchdown receptions. Bengal's running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis had 17 carries for 76 yards.
The Steeler's offensive line had a lot of trouble protecting Ben Roethlisberger, who was sacked five times. He finished the game going 21 of 33 for 245 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions.
With Rashard Mendenhall out, the Steelers couldn't gain a lot of yards on the ground. Isaac Redman led the team with only 39 yards. He also had one rushing touchdown. Roethlisberger added 21 yard on four rushing attempts.
The Bengals trailed 10-0 at halftime and 17-14 in the fourth quarter, but Cincinnati's defense made some big plays intercepting Roethlisberger twice and scoring six points off of the turnovers to give them a 20-17 lead with six minutes left.
