Some Reddit users said that the Amazon emailed them about their pre-orders of the game "Final Fantasy 7" Remake. The date for the pre-order was originally December 2016, but it has been changed to December 2017.
Fans who are familiar with Amazon know that December is usually a placeholder date unless the publisher specifically states that the product is coming out in that month. Until the game company, Square Enix, announces an actual release date, it seems like this will be a placeholder date until the real deal.
The production of the "Final Fantasy 7" Remake game is currently ongoing with the direction of Tetsuya Nomura, as stated by Ecumenical News. However, game developer Square Enix did not have any official announcement regarding when will the game is going to be ready and be released.
According to Movie News Guide, there are rumors that the upcoming "Final Fantasy 7" Remake game might come in three different episodes. The "Final Fantasy XIII" was also released in separate episodes, so the "Final Fantasy 7" Remake could be the same.
And, if the rumored "Final Fantasy 7" Remake will have separate episodes, every episode might be released once every six months or year. In other words, fans will have to wait for 2018 or 2019 to complete the rumored episodes.
In other news, Square Enix just recently re-released the original "Final Fantasy 7" on Play Station 4. It is basically a port of the PC version. It has sharper textures, but the very blocky character models are still the same. It won't look as good as the remake and that's for sure.
