'Pokemon Go' News & Update: Find Pokemon Fast with this New Tracker! Pokevision Alternative Safe to Use?

"Pokemon Go" hunters will surely be happy to know that there is a new app that will help them capture monsters easily. The newest Pokemon-finder application called FastPokeMap promises to assist players in locating hidden Pokemon around their vicinity.

The app is an online-based map that shows areas where Pokemon could be found. This locator tool is similar to Pokevision "Pokemon Go" tracker that was shut down more than a week ago. The difference between the two is that, FastPokeMap was said to be less efficient because it only scan small parts of the area, its range is much smaller than Pokévision, BGR reported.

Moreover, in Pokévision, players can narrow down their search to specific place to catch Pokémon and this is not possible with FastPokeMap. Some users added that this app is not as stable as the other Pokemon-finding apps that were shunned by Niantic Labs.

Although more and more trainers are starting to use this new "Pokemon Go" map locator, it is not sure until when this service would be available since it is possible that one of these days, Niantic could take it down too.

There is a reason why FastPokeMap could be shunned by Niantic soon. Just like the other maps, this app is doing more harm than good to "Pokemon Go" gaming system. On Reddit, someone explained that aside from harming the game and the Niantic servers, it also has a negative impact on OpenStreetMaps service.

Reddit user called PokeGofind clarified that he stopped using FastPokeMap because he just realized that in the long run, it is only damaging the system. He then advised fellow "Pokemon Go" players to refrain from using third party Pokemon locator maps from now on, saying that it is time to stop abusing Niantic's API so the company can focus more on developing great features instead of constantly looking for fixes for server issues.
