Gamescom 2016 Latest News & Update: No Show For ‘Kingdom Hearts 3,’ ‘Final Fantasy 7 Remake’ & ‘Dragon Quest'?
Hard-core gamers, and even the beginners, are excited to see what is in store at Gamescom 2016 with open doors from August 19 to 21. Game developers will get the chance to showcase their titles but sadly for the fans of "Kingdom Hearts 3" and "Final Fantasy 7 Remake," the two popular games won't be grace the conference this year.
Square Enix, the game developer of the overly popular series "Kingdom Hearts" and "Final Fantasy," will light the fireworks for December's "Kingdom Hearts 2.8" collection at Gamescom 2016 in Germany. Interestingly, "Final Fantasy 15" has been in the company's list of games for so long, so to speak, as it was meant to be on PlayStation 3 as "Final Fantasy Versus 13."
"Dragon Quest 7" and "Dragon Quest 8" 3DS will, unexpectedly, not be a highlight in the Gamescom 2016. "Dragon Quest 10" is not yet available in the western world, but rumors have it that it will soon be coming to Nintendo NX port. However, fans cannot expect an update for this report in the conference.
In Land of the Rising Sun, "Dissidia: Final Fantasy" has gained a handful of followers. At the moment, there has been no official announcement for a release of a console version of the arcade fighter, and gamers should not expect it on Gamescom 2016.
Take-Two Interactive has confirmed its participation in the Gamescom 2016 but has also revealed that the highly anticipated "Red Dead Redemption 2," along with its other games in the pipeline will not be made available in the public until April 2017. Games experts believe that Gamescom 2016 is not the best avenue for the unveiling of the game.
Participants should not expect to be admitted inside the premises of Gamescom 2016 with their cosplay weapons for security reasons. Big players like Microsoft Xbox and Sony PlayStation have already announced that they will not hold press conference during the event.
