Xbox One Backward Compatibility, Games With Gold September 2016 Updates: Titles Fans Might Be Seeing Next Month

Subscribers of the Xbox One Backward Compatibility program are already looking forward to the next set of classic games that they can play with their current-generation console. The Xbox Games with Gold feature both mainstream and independent titles from Xbox 360 that players can bring back to play on their Xbox One.

Phil Spencer said that he is particularly fond of the Xbox 360 role-playing games (RPG) "Blue Dragon" and "Lost Odyssey." It is very likely that the two games may be introduced on the Xbox One soon. Many players have also especially mentioned a number of titles that may be included in the Games with Gold September 2016 list.

The Bitbag revealed that gamers hope that "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" by Activision will be included in the Xbox One Backward Compatibility program. The game received mixed reviews upon launch but eventually turned into a fan favorite, because of its beautiful and engaging storyline, dynamic characters and gameplay and excellent multiplayer. There are reportedly two other games that are in development, which will most likely have backward compatibility soon, one of which is "Skate 3."

"Bioshock: Infinite" has been known to be in development as an Xbox One backward-compatible title for some time. It is likely to join the Xbox Games with Gold list soon. So far, no "Bioshock" game has been included in the Backwards Compatibility program, but it should be part of the special list soon.

In August 2016, the Xbox Games with Gold included the open-source indie game "Spelunky," which was substituted by "Beyond Good & Evil HD." Other titles that will be included during the month include "Warriors Orochi 3" and "WWE 2K16," which includes over 120 playable characters.

According to Vine Report, there are rumors that Microsoft will announce the Xbox Games with Gold for September 2016 free games at GamesCom 2016. Fans hoped that "Red Dead Redemption" and "Dead Rising 3" will make the list soon. The big event will happen in Cologne, Germany from Aug. 17 to 21, 2016. More updates and details on the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility program are expected soon.
