Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Latest Rumors, Release Date & Update: Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Cloned Already?

Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Latest Rumors, Release Date & Update: Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Cloned Already?

Xiaomi has been known to come out with smartphones of its own, normally bearing a close resemblance to the leading flagships in the market. The iPhone is one of the better known devices they have been targeting though the latest device looks a lot like the recently launched Samsung Galaxy Note 7.

Leaked photos cropped up recently and it is believed that these renders refer to the Xiaomi Mi Note 2. A first look at the photos quickly calls to mind the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. The difference, however, is that the alleged phablet comes with a metal and glass build.

Dual-edged curved display too?

One thing notable is the dual-edged curved display that Samsung is best known for. It is used on the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and the Galaxy Note 7. Could this be part of that belief that the Korean company is selling its dual-edge curved displays to OEMs?

Going over the other specs, the alleged Xiaomi Mi Note 2 seems to have a dual-camera setup as well. There is no confirmation on what the main camera specs would be but from the back portion of the leaks, such seems pretty fit for it.

Rumored specs of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2

Aside from the aesthetics, there have already been rumored specs for the Xiaomi Mi Note 2. That includes a device powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC, 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB of internal storage and something that will rely on a 4,000 mAh battery.

The recent leaks could be because the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is believed to be on the verge of release. The word out is that this will happen next month with the device unofficially retailing for about $500 over in China.

Like most of its products, there is no official word on whether the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will be made available globally.
