‘The Sims 4’ Latest Rumors, Release Date & Update: City-themed Expansion Pack Coming Soon?

With no word on “The Sims 5”, the focus of gamers right now is on “The Sims 4”. The last time out, we did report on the DLC to come out which was the “Dine Out” expansion pack.

“The Sims 4” “Dine Out” expansion pack was pretty impressive since it allowed the gamers to indulge in a business-like feel of managing an actual restaurant using life simulations. Much of the things players could do with that DLC can be read here.

Another “The Sims 4” expansion pack coming?

While the “Dine Out” expansion for “The Sims 4” is expected to keep a lot of folks busy, leaks have now cropped up pointing to another possible DLC.

Neurogadget reports that this could be the tease that a Brazilian video game website rendered, allegedly the third expansion pack called “Vida Na Cidade”. When translated, this stood for “Life in the City”.

Though a rumor, tying it up with the recent “Dine Out” expansion pack for “The Sims 4” makes sense. It opens up a whole new mix of possibilities for in-game ‘Sims’ who can venture out into the city and either work or explore the suburbs.

With no update from EA or Maxis on what lies ahead for “The Sims 4”, seeing another expansion may have to do. It can overshadow the disappointments of some gamers who were hoping to see a game console version of the popular life-simulation game.

There is also the sales performance issue to consider. With “The Sims 4” hardly making a good account in the market, the release of DLC packs could somehow cushion the losses.

Critics believe that its poor impact is the reason why a game console did not come out and why there is no update on the status of “The Sims 5”. Going by the numbers, the game has already altered a lot of its regular schedule and such has left many anxious on the future of the famed simulation game.
