'No Man's Sky' Update 1.05 Now Ready To Download For PS4 & PC; Patch Notes, Bugs Fixed

The new "No Man's Sky" Update 1.05 is already available for download for PlayStation 4 and PC gamers. The bugs on the two platforms have reportedly been fixed, which will expectedly enhance both overall gameplay and performance.

Some players already reported how much "No Man's Sky" has improved since Update 1.05 was launched. The patch notes addressed several previously reported issues on PlayStation 4, while game performance on PC has also been tweaked. When "No Man's Sky" launched on Aug. 9, 2016 on PC, many players complained about the poor performance, regardless of their computer specifications. The new update currently supports PC units operating on the AMD Phenom processor.

The Bitbag revealed that before, "No Man's Sky" players reported that their PC crashed when they used the Alt+Tab command. The issue has also been fixed so they can switch tabs anytime now. Framerate drops are less likely with the fix provided to Shader Caching. "No Man's Sky" will currently run in 30/60 FPS as provided in the new settings options.

"No Man's Sky" Patch 1.05 also fixed several reported bugs. Many crash triggers were addressed, such as those that happen while scanning, while warping inside a freighter and after warping.

"No Man's Sky" players stated that they often got stuck below the terrain before and the game being unplayable. These have all been fixed as well. There was also the issue of corrupted save files. With the new update, both PlayStation 4 and PC gamers can load corrupted save files. Some also noticed that they can look around the ship more.

Despite the various fixes and adjustments made to "No Man's Sky," the game is not completely free of issues. One player claimed that the PSN storage save cannot load after the 1.05 Patch was released. The storage save can be accessed via a backup after deleting the game and re-installing it. Players are advised to always have a backup ready.

AttackoftheFanboy cited that "No Man's Sky" Update Patch 1.05 is only 35MB. The patch notes only stated that it contains bug fixes. More updates and details on "No Man's Sky" are expected soon.
