Nintendo NX Latest Rumors, Release Date & Update: Dragon Quest XI Confirmed?

The Nintendo NX is one of the highly anticipated game consoles for 2017 though the company has done a good job of keeping everything under wraps.

Back in July, the Nintendo NX was a no-show at E3 with Shigeru Miyamoto reasoning out that the company did not want rival companies from copying their next gen console that likely includes its features. The last time we touched on the Nintendo NX was the possible return of game cartridges. The alleged portable device will reportedly accommodate game cartridges which mean a lot of games should be expected once it launches in March 2017.

“Dragon Quest XI” included?

With nothing much to work on as far as the Nintendo NX, attention has shifted to the possible games coming for the console. Gematsu reports that “Dragon Quest XI” could be included though the interview seemed a bit off.

Word of “Dragon Quest XI” pegged to be one of the games was mentioned by series creator Yuji Horii though his words weren’t exactly on point. "That's right." He added that "the use of hardware is different for each system, so [development] is quite a challenge."

Apparently, the whole thing was taken by many as a (unofficial) confirmation though Square Enix came forward to clear up the air. Instead of the alleged coming, the company clarified that “Dragon Quest XI” was under consideration, Game Spot reported.

Horii also mentioned that there will be 2D and 3D options as far as gameplay is concerned though “Dragon Quest XI” has yet to get a release date (in North America). Will it come before the Nintendo NX’s anticipated coming in March 2017?

With the true fate of “Dragon Quest XI” still sketchy, it may be best to focus on the games that are more than likely coming. The list includes “Animal Crossing”, “Fire Emblem”, “Mario” and “Zelda” among others.

Pokemon Go” could also be in the mix though all that remains to be seen.
