'Battlefield 1' Beta Map Release Details: Sinai Desert Map Inspired By Real Middle East Battles; Game's Largest Conquest Map To Have Horses, Planes & Tanks

The "Battlefield 1" Beta Map will soon become available for players to try at the end of August 2016. DICE recently provided some details about the "Battlefield 1" Sinai Desert map, which was reportedly inspired by real-world Middle East conflicts.

The "Battlefield 1" Beta Map took some details from actual events, particularly when the Allied Forces battled the Ottoman Empire for control over the Suez Canal. Sinai Desert is one of the most massive Conquest maps in "Battlefield 1," and offers a diverse gameplay experience with various player options. The "Battlefield 1" Beta Map will include planes, horses and tanks for players to ride. There will be different vantage points for players to seize control of the situation.

GameSpot reported that the "Battlefield 1" Sinai Desert also includes a giant armored train vehicle that can set the advantage to the team controlling it. According to DICE, the powerful vehicle is very effective for players who know how to maneuver it. The train features a wide array of weapons and an imposing presence. The train may be prone to a surprise attack by horseback-riding enemies carrying anti-vehicle grenades, but it will deal a lot of damage first.

There will be times when "Battlefield 1" gamers need to move through narrow alleys and streets to search for enemies. The Capture points will vary. Some will allow enough space to fly by, while others will be too small.

Battlefield.com stated that the Sinai Desert "Battlefield 1" map will also feature weather effects. Players will have to deal with strong gusts, sandstorms and other external elements during battle. The game will involve a lot of ground-based combat, but players can also ride airplanes. "Battlefield 1" allows gamers to have dogfights as well. DICE mentioned that one flag can be acquired via plane, but players have to disable the anti-aircraft first.

The "Battlefield 1" Beta Map will become available on Aug. 31, 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox and PC. The full game will launch on October 21, but players can experience the game much earlier through beta tests and other pre-release privileges. More updates and details are expected soon.
